In the past 24 hours, three more people have died from dengue in the country. During the same period, 421 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals nationwide. So far this year, a total of 401 people have died from dengue.
The information was released on Tuesday (December 9) through a press release by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the release, two of the deceased were residents of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), while the third was from Barishal Division (outside the city corporation).
New dengue cases in the past 24 hours were distributed as follows:
- Barishal Division (outside city corporation): 64
- Chattogram Division (outside city corporation): 63
- Dhaka Division (outside city corporation): 73
- Dhaka North City Corporation: 75
- Dhaka South City Corporation: 72
- Khulna Division (outside city corporation): 30
- Mymensingh Division (outside city corporation): 31
- Rajshahi Division (outside city corporation): 12
- Rangpur Division (outside city corporation): 1
Meanwhile, 528 patients were discharged from various hospitals in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of dengue patients discharged this year to 96,760.
