The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has appealed to the public for information regarding a suspect in the shooting of Osman Hadi, the potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8 and spokesperson of the Inquilab Manch.
According to the DMP, CCTV footage from the scene helped them preliminarily identify one individual, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect.
The incident occurred on Friday afternoon in the Bijoynagar Box Culvert area of the capital. Following the attack, the police have launched citywide operations to catch those responsible.
DMP’s Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the development on Saturday.
In a statement, the DMP urged anyone with information about the suspect to contact the nearest police station or the numbers provided below. Information can also be shared via the national emergency number 999.
