The admission test for MBBS and BDS courses for the 2025-‘26 academic session will be held on December 12. Exams will commence at 10:00 am across 17 centers and 49 venues nationwide.
Candidates must enter examination halls between 8:00 am and 9:00 am, carrying only a transparent bag containing a color-printed admit card, a transparent black-ink ballpoint pen, and their HSC or equivalent examination admit card/registration card. Mobile phones, calculators, electronic devices, watches, and other bags will not be allowed inside the exam halls.
This year’s written test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions based on the HSC or equivalent syllabus, with a total of 100 marks. The subject-wise distribution is as follows: Biology – 30, Chemistry – 25, Physics – 15, English – 15, and General Knowledge, Aptitude, and Human Qualities Assessment – 15. The pass mark has been set at 40, with 1 mark awarded per correct answer and 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer. The exam duration has been extended by 15 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes.
For the 2025-‘26 session, government medical colleges offer 5,645 seats (5,100 MBBS and 545 BDS), while private medical colleges provide 7,406 seats (6,001 MBBS and 1,405 BDS). A total of 1,22,632 candidates have applied for the admission test, competing for 13,051 seats.
