A six-year-old boy was miraculously rescued from the rubble of a deadly Indonesian earthquake after being trapped under debris for two days without food or water.
The survivor named Azka, whose mother died in disaster was being protected by a mattress, while 40 other people still remain missing in Cianjur.
Indonesia’s National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB) said Azka Maulana in Cugenang subdistrict was found by a rescue team, discovered next to his grandmother’s body.
Azka is now being treated in Cianjur hospital, local media reported. Rescuers had taken out his parents’ bodies earlier, the agency added.
