Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia on June 28 as the moon of Ziljah month was seen in Saudi Arabia on Sunday evening.
The information is according to a report by Khaleej Times based in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the report, due to the sighting of the moon of the month of Zilhaj on Sunday, the holy day of Arafah or Hajj will be held in Saudi Arabia on June 27 and Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on June 28. Earlier, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei announced the date of the Eid-ul-Azha celebration. Eid will be celebrated on June 29 (Thursday) in these countries as the moon has not been seen.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Religion of Indonesia said that Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in Indonesia on the 29th of this month as the moon of the holy month of Zilhaj was not seen anywhere in the country.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee will be held in Bangladesh on Monday to determine the date of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. The meeting will be held at 7:30 pm in the meeting room of the Islamic Foundation at the National Mosque, Baitul Mukarram.
