Fighting between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Force (RSF) has so far killed more than four hundred people in the North African country of Sudan. More than 3,500 people are injured.
This information was given in a report of the news agency AFP about the World Health Organization (WHO).
"According to the information we have so far, 413 people have been killed and 3,551 injured," WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris told in a news conference in Geneva.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Children`s Organization UNICEF said that at least 9 were children among the dead. Apart from this, more than half a hundred children were injured in this conflict.
Citing an estimate from Sudan`s Ministry of Health, WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris said that 20 health centers in Sudan have been shut down due to the conflict, and another 12 are at risk of shutting down.
UNICEF spokesperson James Elder told the media, "This conflict is disrupting the lives of the country`s children. If this fight continues, the children are going to suffer a lot."
