Fire service workers have so far rescued 12 people alive from the damaged building after massive explosion in a five-storey building near Fulbaria BRTC counter in Gulistan which claimed at least 16 lives so far.
Shajahan Shikder, officer-in-charge of media cell of Fire Service and Civil Defence, gave this information on Tuesday (March 7) evening.
The fire service is still carrying out rescue operations in the building, reports our correspondent from the explosion site.
