Barkat Ullah Bulu attacked in Comilla

While traveling from Noakhali to Dhaka on Saturday, BNP Vice-Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu, his wife, and two other people were injured after their motorcade was attacked by "miscreants" near Cumilla's Monoharganj.

Bulu has major brain injuries, according to Md Mostak Mia, the Cumilla BNP's central organizing secretary.

He said that on his way back to Dhaka from Begumganj in Noakhali, his car went out of order.

While the car was being fixed, he was having tea at Monohorganj with local BNP leaders and activists as well as representatives of other groups.

Bulu alleged that some local leaders and volunteers from the ruling party attacked him at that time.

Natherpetua police Inspector Zafar Iqbal stated that he had not received any written complaints about the incident.

He assured that the police will investigate.
