A mild heat wave is sweeping across the country including Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Panchagarh and Srimangal and it may continue further, UNB reports citing weather officials on Monday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, the Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) said in the bulletin on Monday.
The day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The axis of the monsoon trough runs through India's Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across the southern part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and moderates over North Bay, added the bulletin.
