Mohammad Mahfuz Alam has been appointed as the new Advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, just a day after Mohammad Nahid Islam stepped down from his role.
The announcement was made through a notification on Wednesday, February 26.
Nahid Islam, who was handling the responsibilities of both the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, resigned on Tuesday afternoon.
He submitted his resignation letter to Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna.
Before this new role, Mahfuz Alam had been serving as an advisor without portfolio in the Interim Government.
His new appointment marks a key change in the leadership of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
