Apu back with ‘Shortcut’ after 3 yrs

Actress Apu Biswas will appear on the big screen after a three-year hiatus with a new film ‘Shortcut’.

Directed by Subir Mondol, the film is going to be the maiden project for the actor in West bengal cinemas.

Indian actor Gourav Chakrabarty will be seen opposite Apu in the film. Popular singer Nochiketa penned the storyline. The film is all set to be released.

'Shortcut' was supposed to be released in Bangladesh also under the SAFTA act, said the film director Subir Mondol, ‘Yet to sign with any company in this regard.’

Besides Shortcut, two more films starred by Apu are waiting to be released. Shahriar Nazim Joy’s ‘Priyo Komola’ and Debashis Biswas’s ‘Shosurbari Jindabaad’ are on the cards for the actor.

‘If everything is alright, I will be back to my audience through this film. The release date will be announced soon, said Apu.

Apu was last seen in ‘Panku Jamai’, directed by Abdul Mannan in 2018 where Shakib Khan was her male-counterpart.
