Renowned American comedian and talk show host Conan O’Brien retired from television after a spectacular 28-year-long run on Thursday (June 24). This was the third time he left a late-night show. His last show ‘Conan’ completed its 11th season on TBS. Previously, he was the host of ‘The Tonight Show,’ and ‘Late Night,’ both aired on NBC. He hosted a total of 4368 episodes of celebrity talk show throughout his television career.
Conan’s world-famous podcast ‘Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend’ will still continue and he will also return with a weekly variety show on the OTT platform HBO Max later this year.
The last episode of his ‘Conan’ show had famous comedian Jack Black and Will Ferell as guests.
The show was taped at Largo at the Coronet Theater in Los Angeles. Most audience members during the segment were people who worked on the show and their friends and family.
Conan’s farewell monologue was a touching speech about how he was grateful to have worked with the most talented team in the business.
Fans, celebrities and fellow comedians around the world congratulated him on his tremendous career and hoped to see his return on HBO Max very soon.
