Shamol Roy, the man who became a viral sensation on social media for his interesting interview, finally got married on August 12, according to recent press reports.
Abdul Jabbar, a member of Union Parishad (UP) of Ward 9 of Mirzapur Union in Rangpur's Mithapukur Upazila, confirmed the information to several media outlets.
Shamol got married to Deepa Rani, daughter of Dilip Roy of Putimari village in Rangpur’s Mithapukur upazila on Thursday (August 12).
Their wedding photos and videos have also gone viral on social media platforms. Netizens are wishing them the best and blessing their union online.
A huge number of fans came to his wedding at Rangpur and took photos with Shamol.
Previously, Bangladesh Railway employee Shamol became an overnight internet sensation after giving out a humorous interview where he shared the lines, “Have a relax” and “See you not for mind.”
These words somehow struck a chord with Bangladeshi netizens and shot Shamol into a popular meme item on the internet.
Shamol’s fame led him to star in a short film called ‘Monusotto’ directed by online content creator Asif Foysal Lalin.
He even recorded his own original track with a YouTube based record label called My Tune Music.
