Monday’s Laliga match featured Real Betis hosting Spanish giant FC Barcelona. While their rival Real Madrid has been plagued by injuries and poor form, Barcelona has been in much better shape. With five wins from their last five league games, Barcelona arrived as the favourite of the match.
Borja Iglesias took the first swing by scoring a goal late in the first half. Lionel Messi came on from the bench on the 57th minute and made his presence known within two minutes by scoring from the inner edge of the box, equalising their team.

Victor Ruiz scored an own goal to give the visitors the advance but he cancelled that out by scoring on the other end to bring the game back on equal terms. He also picked up a yellow card, as did Sergio Busquets.
It was Barcelona who had the last laugh as they saw a fantastic strike from Francisco Trincao hitting the before going in. Trincao has often been praised by the fanbase but it was his first league goal this season and he sure scored with a goal of quality.
With the win over Betis, Barcelona are still level on points with Real Madrid. Atletico Madrid sill remains on top with two games in hand.
