Bangladesh Women have thrashed Sri Lanka by 10 runs margin during their ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup group A match at Willowmoore Park, Benoni in South Africa on Monday (January 15).
Bangladesh, thanks to half-centuries from Afia Prottasha (53) and Shorna Akhter (50), scored 165 runs losing just two wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.
Wicket-keeper Dilara Akter posted 36 runs off 27 balls while Rany Saha scored 14 runs.
In reply, Sri Lanka managed to score 155 runs losing four wickets.
Dewmi Vihanga posted a brilliant innings of 61 runs from 54 balls while Dewmi Vihanga registered 55 runs from 44 balls.
Earlier, Bangladesh made history as the Tigresses won the first game against Australia in the tournament by seven wickets on Saturday (January 14).
