As many as 63 people have died of coronavirus complications in last 24 hours in Khulna, Barishal and Mymensingh divisions.
Among them, 36 died in Khulna division while 19 died in Barishal and 8 in Mymensingh.
Divisional health officials of the three divisions confirmed the matter to media.
“Some 36 people died of Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 1 thousand 725,” read a report sent by Khulna Divisional Health department.
Of them 11 hail from Kushtia, 9 from Khulna, 7 from Jhinaidah, 5 from Jashore, 2 from Meherpur, 1 each from Chuadanga and Satkhira.
Earlier on Sunday (July 11), 60 people died in Khulna division which is the highest single day count.
In Barishal, 19 people died in last 24 hours, told divisional health department director Doctor Basudeb Kumar Das.
“Among the deceased, three were tested positive for coronavirus while 16 were admitted to hospital with coronavirus-like symtomps,” Dr. Basudeb said.
Alongside, 8 people died of the virus in last 24 hours in Mymensingh division.
Some 484 people were diagnosed with coronavirus with an infection rate of 27.48 percent.
Mymensingh divisional health department confirmed the matter to media on Wednesday (July 14).
