APBn member shot as Rohingya groups trade bullets in Cox’s Bazar

A member of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) sustained bullet injuries during a gunfight between groups of Rohingya  people at a refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday, making him the latest victim of such trade of bullets there.

The injured is Kawsar Ahmed, a member of APBn-16, now beaing treated at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital, said APBn-16 Captain Additional DIG Hasan Bari Noor.

The gunfight started between two groups of Rohingya at Noyapara camp of Teknaf upazila around 12:30pm.

An APBn team rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control when Kawsar suffered bulled wound during the exchange of gunfire, Hasan Bari added.
