The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has announced a ban on all kinds of public gatherings — including rallies, meetings, processions, and demonstrations — in certain areas of Dhaka, effective from Sunday until further notice.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the ISPR stated that the move aims to ensure the smooth flow of public movement and to maintain law and order.
The restricted areas include Kachukhet Road, the stretch from Bijoy Sarani to Jahangir Gate via the Chief Adviser’s Office, the area from BAF Shaheen College to the Mohakhali flyover, Sainik Club intersection, Bhashantek, Matikata, ECB Chattar, and the surrounding zones.
