Bangladesh cancels Aug 15 general holiday

In a major decision since taking charge of the country, the interim government has now revoked the August 15 general holiday  that is generally marked to mourn the killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members  on the same day in 1975.

The decision came in a meeting of the advisers of the interim government on Tuesday, says a press release.
