On Wednesday (December 15), Bangladesh received 56 lakh doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine from Japan and the United Kingdom (UK).
The Covid-19 vaccine arrived under the COVAX - the global vaccine sharing scheme.
Japan provided 4,000,800 of the doses while the UK provided 4,055,000.Health Minister Zahid Maleque received the vaccine from Japanese Ambassador Ito Naoki and British High Commissioner Robert Chatterton Dickson at the state guest house Padma.
