Covid-19 has claimed the lives of two more people in the country in 24 hours till Saturday morning, pushing up the overall toll to 29,395 as yet.
Over the 24-hour same period, 295 fresh nationwide cases were recorded, says the daily update of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The new cases raised the country's total caseload to 2,032,092 while the daily case test positivity rate rose to 7.78 per cent from Friday’s 7.15 per as 3,794 samples were tested during the period.
The latest deceased were a man and woman from Chattogram and Mymensingh divisions.
The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45 percent and the recovery rate rose to 97.12 per cent.
