Artistes have covered noted singer John Lennon's famous ‘Imagine’ song during the Hall Council of Dhaka University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
All the performers are students of Dhaka University and leaders and activists of BCL.
Deputy-international affairs secretary of DU unit Shahrima Tanjina Arni, Jagannath Hall student union member Vivekananda Das performed as the lead vocalist among other artistes.
The pro-Awami League student wing’s Dhaka University general secretary Hussain Saddam posted a video of the performance.
Earlier on the day, the much-hyped Hall council began amidst enthusiasm.
Maintaining the health protocol, the council was held today at the Teachers-Students Center (TSC) Square of Dhaka University.
Though there was a six-year-long gap between the previous and ongoing hall council, the aspirants of leadership and the leaders were seen in joy putting slander behind.
However, around 325 aspirants have dropped their curriculum vita to the high command of Chhatra League of whom 36 will be selected considering the leadership qualities, academic educational qualifications, and last not but least the dedication and commitment to the organization. Controversial past will be considered as a hindrance in a press conference the university unit leaders uttered this.
