BNP files case against Sheikh Hasina, three former ECE, and 19 others

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has filed a case against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, along with the Chief Election Commissioners (CECs) of the 10th, 11th, and 12th parliamentary elections, and a total of 19 named individuals, as well as several unnamed persons.

The case was filed on Sunday at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station by BNP Executive Committee member Md. Salah Uddin Khan, who also serves as the party’s Coordinator for Legal Affairs and Information Preservation.

Regarding the case, Officer-in-Charge Md. Imaul Haque of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station said that the matter would be reviewed before taking further action.

Earlier in the day, a BNP delegation led by Md. Salah Uddin Khan submitted a related petition to Chief Election Commissioner M M Nasir Uddin. The petition was signed by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Details of the charges have not yet been made public, but the filing marks a significant legal move by the BNP targeting top political and electoral officials.
