Almost two weeks after the murder of Jhenidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim (Anar), the West Bengal CID has recovered parts of his body.
Initially, after preliminary investigations, West Bengal police suspected that MP Anar was killed in an apartment in Kolkata`s New Town. However, a search of the premises yielded no significant findings.
At the request of a visiting Bangladesh police detective team, West Bengal police conducted another search on Tuesday, May 28. During this renewed search, parts of Anar’s body were found in the septic tank of the same apartment.
While searching, the West Bengal CID broke open the toilet, sewage line, and septic tank of the apartment to carry out the recovery operation.
