The chief adviser to the Interim government, Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus, is set to address the nation at 7:30pm today.
Confirming thej development, the press wing of the Chief Adviser`s Office said tyhat BTV, BTV World and BTV Chattogram centre will telecast the address.
The Nobel Peace Prize-winning economist was sworn in as the head of Bangladesh’s interim government on August 5, three days after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to resign and flee to neighbouring India amid a nationwide student movement endorsed by several opposition parties.
It comes against the backdrop of heavy floods which have inundated large parts of the country.
Till date, around 51 lakh people have been marooned. The death toll has reached 18, with the number expected to exceed.
