Couple attacked with sharp weapons in Uttara, two suspects arrested

A shocking incident unfolded in Uttara when a husband and wife were attacked with sharp weapons by two men. 

The attack, which took place on Monday night, was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media. 

In the disturbing footage, the couple can be seen screaming for help as they were assaulted with sharp objects.

The incident occurred around 9 PM on Road 9 in Sector 7, Uttara. Police reported that two suspects, Mubarak Hossain (25) and Ravi Ray (27), were arrested in connection with the attack.

According to the police, the chain of events began when a speeding motorcycle collided with a rickshaw. 

The couple, who were nearby on another motorcycle, objected to the reckless driving. 

In retaliation, the two men on the motorcycle, believed to be part of a local criminal group, launched a violent attack on the couple with sharp weapons.

Inspector AB Siddique from the Uttara West Police Station, who is investigating the case, explained that after the motorcycle hit the rickshaw, the driver protested. The husband and wife, also upset, voiced their concerns. 

This led the two men to call others and then violently attack the couple with weapons.

The police have arrested the two men involved, and investigations are ongoing.
