Daily death at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital due to coronavirus has increased again. Five people died on Tuesday, but the death toll has doubled in 24 hours. Corona patients from Rajshahi and other districts are being admitted to Rajshahi Medical College (RMCH) Hospital, one of the main clinics of corona treatment in the department.
In the last 24 hours on Wednesday (September 1), 10 more people died of coronavirus while undergoing treatment at the Corona Unit and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH).
At the same time, 19 people were admitted to the hospital due to corona.
This information was given in the daily Corona report sent to the media from Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Wednesday (September 1) morning. They died in Corona between 8am on Tuesday (August 31) and 8am on Wednesday (September 1), the report said.
The RMCH report sent to the media on Wednesday (September 1) said, “Among the 10 people who died while undergoing treatment at the hospital's corona unit and ICU, 3 were from Rajshahi, 4 from Chapainawabganj, 2 from Natore and 1 from Naogaon. Among the dead were 1 from Rajshahi, 2 from Chapainawabganj and 1 from Natore. 1 person from Chapainawabganj and 1 person from Natore were identified as corona negative. The other four were admitted to the hospital as suspected patients with various symptoms of corona.
“In the last 24 hours on Wednesday (September 1), 19 people were admitted to the hospital with corona and its symptoms. As of Wednesday (September 1), a total of 145 corona patients have been admitted to the hospital with various corona symptoms. It is also reported that 20 patients have left the hospital in the last 24 hours,” the report further said.
The report of said that out of the total 145 patients admitted in the hospital till Wednesday (September 1), 61 were from Rajshahi, 21 from Chapainawabganj, 18 from Natore, 6 from Naogaon, 18 from Naogaon, 18 from Pabna, 6 from Kushtia, 1 from Chuadanga and 1 from Joypurhat. John, 1 from Sirajganj, 2 from Meherpur and 1 from Jhenaidah.
Of the 145 patients admitted to the hospital, 84 were positive, 45 were suspected and 26 were negative, the report said.
