An electrical wire caught fire in front of a high-rise building in Dhaka`s Motijheel area, causing panic among locals. The incident occurred at 11:56 AM on Wednesday, directly opposite the Krishi Bhaban in the Dilkusha area.
Lima Khanam, the duty officer at the Fire Service office, confirmed the incident. She stated, "Upon receiving the report, two units of the Fire Service arrived at 12:02 PM and brought the fire under control by 12:06 PM after four minutes of effort. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire."
As the electrical wire burned, thick black smoke billowed upwards, prompting people from nearby buildings to rush into the streets in fear. The swift action of the Fire Service units ensured that the fire was quickly extinguished.
