BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has flown to Bangkok, Thailand, to undergo eye surgery.
According to BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan, Fakhrul, accompanied by his wife Rahat Ara Begum, departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:45 a.m. today on a Thai Airways flight.
He is scheduled to receive treatment at Rutnin Eye Hospital in Bangkok, following a recommendation from doctors at United Hospital in Dhaka on May 11.
The senior BNP leader has requested prayers from the public for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
