In a decision aimed at easing the food supply during Ramadan, the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has announced that beef, along with mutton, milk, eggs, and fish, will be sold through mobile vans across the country.
Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhtar shared the news on Monday, after an event at the Agricultural Research Council in Dhaka`s Farmgate.
"This year, beef will be sold at 650 Taka per kg during Ramadan," Akhtar confirmed in her statement.
She also explained that initially, the ministry had planned not to sell beef and mutton during the holy month.
However, the government has now reversed that decision, ensuring these essential items will be available for the public.
