A home ministry official of Kuwait has been arrested for beating a Bangladeshi migrant worker, reports a Kuwaiti media.
The Ministry of Interior of the Arab nation tweeted about one of its officials who beat up a Bangladeshi for not washing his car for the past 3 days as he had agreed to wash it daily. A case has been registered against the officer, he was arrested and legal measures will be taken against him.
The Bangladeshi worker Jamal Uddin (41) was seriously injured when he was severely beaten. Based on the complaint of Jamal Uddin's employer, the Interior Ministry official was arrested on January 26.
Jamal was hospitalized at Adan Hospital in serious condition and was undergoing treatment in the ICU, reports said.
The event occurred on January 11, according to Bangladeshi community leaders in Kuwait.
