More than 300 hijras sued by a man in Uttara

A man named Abbas Uddin Ashiq has filed a case against more than 300 hijras in the capital’s Uttara. Ashiq himself is not from the hijra community. 

The case was filed with the Uttara West police station in sector 14 on Monday afternoon (October 24). 

According to the case statement, Ashik mentioned the names of thirteen (13) people and another 200/300 unidentified people of the hijra community for injuring eight people from the same community. 

Uttara Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) SM Ashikur Rahman confirmed the matter to The Report. 

He said, no one has been arrested so far. 

"We are seriously injured in the attack," the victim side hijra community guru Apon told The Report. It is difficult to talk under such circumstances, said he.
