The Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) has introduced a new rule for allocating appointment slots for Indian visa applications.

The new system will come into effect from Wednesday (July 1).

Under the new rule, applicants will no longer be able to choose their preferred appointment time or time slot. Instead, the system will automatically assign an available time slot when the application is submitted.

IVAC stated that this time-slot based application submission system is being introduced across all Indian visa application centers in Bangladesh for all types of visas.

Appointment schedules will now be automatically determined based on the daily application handling capacity of each IVAC center. As a result, applicants will no longer have the option to manually select their preferred time.

The authorities have advised visa applicants to arrive at the respective IVAC centers at their assigned time. According to them, this new system will make the application submission process more organized and faster.
