In a series of special operations across the country, including the capital Dhaka, law enforcement agencies have arrested 1,755 individuals over the past 24 hours.
Among them, 1,093 were wanted in various cases or had active warrants, while 662 were detained for other offenses.
The information was shared on Tuesday (19 August) by H.M. Shahadat Hossain, AIG (Media & PR) at the Police Headquarters.
He stated that during Monday’s (18 August) operations, police also seized two Burmese daggers, one LG firearm, one knife, and a locally made single-barrel gun from the arrested individuals.
Hossain added that such special operations will continue as part of efforts to maintain law and order across the country.
