Stern actions will be taken if negligence found in compliance of safety guidelines including keeping educational institution premises neat and clean. Alongside, steps will be taken against the secondary and higher secondary education department officials who are responsible to supervise these aspects at school-college.
Education minister Doctor Dipu Moni was speaking to media after inspecting Azimpur Girls School and College in the capital on Sunday (September 12) as the educational institutions reopen.
She also directed to give no pressure to students over school dress.
The minister also suspended the principal of the school for violating safety protocols.
Replying to a query of newsmen the minister said, if the situation comes in favorable condition Junior School Certificate (JSC) exam will be taken.
The eighth graders will now take part a single class every week, but the academic process is underway through online, TV and assignments, the minister said.
Whether or not the academic session will be increased by one or two months the minister said, efforts are underway to evaluate if there is any deficiency of students in education. Steps will be taken afterwards.
The minister urged guardians to refrain from crowding in front of the educational institutions while the classes are going on considering the coronavirus infection.
