Rice will be sold at Tk 30 per kg in a total of 2,363 centers from September 1.
The step has been taken to further expanding the ongoing OMS activities through dealers in 811 centers across the country.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recently announced that TCB card holders will get 10 kg of rice at fair price like OMS.
Accordingly, rice will be provided on priority basis to TCB card holders in the OMS programme, read a Facebook post of the Press Wing of the Prime Minister's Office on Sunday (August 28, 2022)
Additionally, 50,10,509 marginal families across the country would receive 30 kg of rice under the food-friendly program at a cost of Tk 15 per kg, it said.
