8 people including Sajib group chairman and managing director have been nabbed over the death of workers after fire broke out at the company’s sister concern Hashem Food and Beverage’s Sejan Juice factory.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said this while visiting the spot on Saturday (July 10). He pronounced stern action to be taken against the responsible people.

Three deaths were reported in the immediate aftermath of the fire on Thursday at the six-storey factory building at the Kornogop area of Bhulta in the district’s Rupganj upazila.
Over 50 other workers were also injured after jumping off the building immediately after the fire broke out.
Meanwhile, Forensic department Dean of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Mohammed Masud Rabbi Sabuj said, it will take a month to conduct DNA tests of the slain workers to ensure identity.
