After a 12-day Durga Puja vacation, classes have resumed at government lower secondary and secondary schools across Bangladesh on Wednesday.
Primary schools reopened earlier on Monday, while government and private colleges are scheduled to resume classes on Sunday (October 12).
This year, the Durga Puja holidays for educational institutions began on September 28.
Government and private colleges had also gone on holiday from September 28, with the break extending until October 9. Since October 10 and 11 fall on the weekend (Friday and Saturday), colleges will reopen on October 12.
Meanwhile, technical schools and madrasas under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board that offer SSC and Dakhil (Vocational) programs, reopened on Wednesday after a weekly holiday from October 1 to 7.
Additionally, institutions offering HSC (Vocational), BM, and BMT programs, as well as polytechnic institutes (Diploma level), reopened earlier on Monday (October 6) after their scheduled holidays.
