Six people of the same family sustained burn injury after fire ignited from a gas line leakage in Chattogram city. The incident took place around 10:30pm Monday (November 1) night.
Officer in Charge of Akber Shah police station, Jahir Hossain, confirmed the matter to TheReport.live.
“The incident occurred at a home beside former mayor MA Manjur’s office at north Kattali in the city. We anticipate the fire was originated from a gas line leakage as the victims switched on the mosquito-killing bat,” OC Jahir said.
Talking to the media Agrabad fire service station senior officer Enamul Haque said, “The explosion broke out at the top floor of a six storied building. The region of the blast is yet to be identified. It depends on investigation.”
Meanwhile, Chattogram Medical College (CMC) hospital police box Sub-Inspector Nurul Alam Ashed sad, the injured were admitted to the burn unit.
