A Dhaka court on Friday placed three people on two-day remand each in a case filed over the gang-rape of a teenage girl in the capital's Lalbagh area, reports BSS.
The trio are: Monir Hossain Shuvo, Billal alias Al Amin, and Sujon alias Sobuj – were brought to the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Ahmed along with another accused Dalia Akter Dina.
Police sought a seven-day remand for them.
After hearing the plea, the court placed Shuvo, Al Amin and Sobuj on remand and sent Dina to jail.
The accused allegedly raped the victim in two different locations by confining her for four days, say police. They later released her in the TSC area of Dhaka University on Wednesday.
The father of the victim filed the case with Lalbagh Police Station on Thursday.
