In a devastating accident on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, six people lost their lives when a bus crashed into several vehicles parked at a toll plaza.
The crash occurred at the Dholeshwari Toll Plaza on Friday, December 27, when a bus from Bepari Paribahan collided with a motorcycle, a microbus, and a private car that had stopped to pay the toll.
As a result, six people were killed, and four others were injured.
The driver of the bus, Nurunnabi, and another individual were arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj, later that night.
This was confirmed by the Additional DIG of Narayanganj Highway Police, A.K.M. Akhtaruzzaman Basu Mia.
He said the authorities are questioning the arrested men. Although it seems the bus lost control, the investigation is ongoing to see if there were any other factors involved in the crash.
