Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) Lowers LPG Prices for Consumers
Consumers in Bangladesh are set to benefit from a reduction in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices, with a decrease of Tk 40 per 12 kg cylinder.
The price cut for April coincides with a slight decrease in CP prices by Saudi Aramco and a stronger Bangladeshi Taka against the dollar.
In April, the new price for a 12 kg cylinder is Tk 1,442, down from Tk 1,482 in February. These cylinders are mainly used for household purposes.
The adjusted rates will take effect from 6 pm today, Wednesday, as announced by officials.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the BERC office today. The commission regularly reviews and adjusts LPG prices monthly. Chairman of BERC, Nurul Amin, revealed the new rates during the press briefing.
