As part of Bangladesh`s response to the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey, a specialist 12-member team from the Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence has flown out to the country, joining the thousands of rescuers who have already arrived in the damaged area, according to reports.
According to a senior official at the Fire Service, the expert team, which included six firefighters, two assistant directors, one deputy assistant director, two senior station officers, and one leader, arrived in the earthquake-stricken nation at 9:45 pm on Thursday, Bangladesh time, via Air Force aircraft C-130.
In the meantime, the foreign ministry of Bangladesh said that Dhaka was seriously contemplating sending a rescue team to Syria as well, despite the fact that rescuers were still battling to save lives in the wake of the enormous twin earthquakes and their aftershocks.
