In a recent interview, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi raised serious concerns about the presence of Pakistani military personnel and members of the country‍‍`s intelligence agency, ISI, in Bangladesh.

He went on to claim that these personnel had even ventured near the sensitive Siliguri Corridor, which connects India’s northeastern region to the rest of the country.

The Siliguri Corridor, often referred to as the "Chicken Neck," holds great strategic importance for India as it provides access between the northeastern states and the mainland.

Speaking to ANI on February 19, General Dwivedi responded to a question regarding reports of Pakistani forces being present in the border areas and the Chicken Neck region.

When asked if he was worried about the situation, he said, "I have used the term ‍‍`center of terrorism‍‍` in relation to a certain country (Pakistan). If people from that country travel elsewhere, and that place happens to be a neighboring nation to us, and we are involved in the matter, then, of course, I will be concerned."

This statement has further intensified discussions about regional security and the potential ramifications of these claims.
