More than 300 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza over the past 48 hours, as Israeli forces continue relentless air and ground assaults across the war-ravaged territory.
According to the Gaza Government Media Office, the strikes have resulted in at least 26 separate massacres, targeting civilians in displacement centers, shelters, markets, and homes.
At least 73 people were reported killed since dawn on Thursday, including 33 individuals shot dead near aid distribution sites managed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), an entity backed by Israel and the United States.
Witnesses described the killings as sudden and unprovoked, with no warning issued before live fire broke out among crowds of desperate civilians waiting for food.
Among the dead were 13 people killed in an Israeli strike on a tent in al-Mawasi, in southern Gaza, and 16 more in an attack on the Mustafa Hafez School, which was sheltering displaced families west of Gaza City, medical sources confirmed.
In a statement, the Gaza Media Office condemned the attacks as targeting "starving civilians seeking food, families inside their homes, and overcrowded shelters housing tens of thousands of displaced people."
The strikes, it said, have severely hit vital civilian infrastructure and humanitarian sites, deepening an already catastrophic situation.
Reporting from Deir el-Balah, Al Jazeera correspondent Tareq Abu Azzoum recounted testimonies from survivors of the shootings near GHF aid centers.
"There was no prior warning—just bullets tearing through crowds," he said. "People described scenes of horror, scattered bodies, and no access for medical teams due to ongoing gunfire. This reflects the complete collapse of the humanitarian landscape in Gaza."
The escalating violence comes amid growing international concern over the humanitarian crisis in the enclave, where more than a million people are now displaced, and access to food, water, and medical care remains critically limited.
Despite calls for a ceasefire, the situation continues to deteriorate, with civilians bearing the brunt of the conflict.
