A young man named Siam (18) was killed in a clash at Mayor Mohammad Hanif flyover in Jatrabari of the capital on early Thursday. With this, the death toll reached seven due to clash centering ongoing quota movement.
Some people brought him dead in front of the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 12am.
Later they didn’t take his body inside the hospital and left in an autorickshaw.
Siam`s cousin Russell said Siam was an employee of a battery shop in Gulistan. On his way back home at night, he was shot dead during the clash at Hanif Flower. Siam died on the spot.
“Later we brought him to hospital, but we did not go inside. I am going home in an autorickshaw carrying the deceased,” he said.
He said that Siam`s village home is in Char Fashion of Bhola district. He currently resided in Matuail.
Bacchu Mia, inspector and in charge of police outpost of DMCH, said that the relatives brought a young man in front of the emergency department of the hospital with bullet wounds after being shot at Jatrabari Hanif flyover.
Later they realize that he was dead. For this reason, they did not enter the hospital and left with the dead body.
