Luna Shamsuddoha passes away

Former Janata Bank Chairman and one the country’s leading IT business personality, Luna Shamsuddoha has passed away at the age of 67.

She breathed her last in a Singapore hospital, reads a Facebook post of Rejaul Haque Kawshik, finance secretary of Economic Reporters’ Forum.

Ryan Rahman, nephew of Luna Shamsuddoha told The Report that her dead body will reach Dhaka on Thursday afternoon. 

State minister for information and communication technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak also expressed condolences over her departure through his Facebook handle.

Many other institutions and public figures has expressed grief over the death of the Tech entrepreneur.

The iconic Luna Shamsuddoha will be remembered as the first woman in the country to hold the foremost position at any government bank. 

She was the Chairperson of the software firm Dohatec New Media.
