State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury stated that the Awami League praesidium member Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury's life was like a colourific history.
He said: "The life of the brave freedom fighter is nothing but an example for us. Her humbleness showed us the way we should lead our life."
After paying the last tribute to the legendary leader on Monday, the state minister made the remarks. Khalid Mahmud also added that her patriotism and loyalty to the party were visible during the one-eleven tenure.
Sajeda Chowdhury met the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina when she was under house arrest during the 1-11 government, he added further.
Highlighting the events of that time, the state minister said such an extraordinarily fearless character has been rare in Bangladesh. "Looking into her life, we find nobody but an extremely courageous character."
Noting that the present generation has a lot to learn from her life, he said, "And if we can follow her life out and out, Bangladesh will progress further."
