Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is set to hold its 9th divisional rally in Rajshahi today amid transport strikes and various obstacles. Leaders and activists have already gathered at the historic Madrasa Ground of Rajshahi.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP’s Secretary General will address the rally as the chief guest.
Earlier, BNP held rallies in Chattogram, Mymensingh, Khulna, Rangpur, Barishal, Faridpur, Sylhet and Cumilla.
A large number of leaders and activists of the BNP and its associate bodies joined the rally venue from different districts since Wednesday due to the transport strike.
The rally will begin with the hoisting of national flag and party flag and BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has already reached the city on Friday night.
