Cracks were discovered at several buildings in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar after a 4.1 magnitude earthquake hit the district on Saturday. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
Residents shared pictures of those cracks went later viral in social media.
Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Office Abdur Rahman said, “the tremor felt at 4:39pm. The epicenter was located at latitude 20.9 degrees and longitude 92.33 degrees in Myanmar, which is approximately 377km south and southeast of Dhaka”.
